Veteran’s Day is a very special holiday. It’s the one day when we, as a nation, come together to honor the service and commitment of our men and women in uniform.
Many people don’t realize how many people dedicate their lives to protecting our country. Right now, there are nearly 20 million veterans – men and women who have served in Iraq, Afghanistan, Korea, Viet Nam, and countless other conflicts over the years – living in our communities. They’re our friends, neighbors, and colleagues. They’re responsible for the safety and liberty we enjoy as Americans, and we owe them a big thank you.
