- New Spindle bearings were installed in headstock, then spindle-nose was re-ground "true".
- Cross slide and Turret were re-ground and refurbished.
- Turret tool holes were bored from 5/8” to ¾” Shank Dia. to accommodate a broader selection of standard tooling options. This modification allowed our tooling arsenal to be shared with other lathes and mills, such as Boring heads, ER collet holders, Tapping heads, Drill chucks, as well as standard ¾” shank turret lathe tooling. Hardinge 5/8” shank tooling may still be used, by using a split bushing to gain size.
- An “Overhead Cutter Slide” was added to accommodate standard “Cut-Off” blades for maximum rigidity and productivity. Form tools may also be mounted here.
- R+L tool post adaptor base plates (2) were designed and fabricated to mount a standard “Quick Change” DTM Tool Post at either end of the Cross slide. Much better than the old “Hardinge Design”, it allows more versatility, quicker set-ups, and tool re-sharpening, without incurring the usual time for resetting the tooling.
- An air-operated collet closer was added, and it has a foot switch included.
- Coolant system has a solenoid valve added for instant shut-off - making for easy part removal.
- Splashboard is fixed to back, to keep chips and coolant in the tray.
- Operators Manual / Parts list, plus equipment file folder.
