Buying a used machine is often the best way to get what you need. The savings involved can be tremendous. Economically, it just makes sense. But you don't want to buy just any old piece of used equipment. When you want to buy a pre-screened, appraised, thoroughly-examined used machine, GM will find you what you need. Selling used machines
If you have a used machine that you no longer need and would like to sell, you have numerous options available to you. You can try placing ads in trade magazines, or putting classified ads in newspapers, but that takes a lot of time and a lot of money. Wouldn't it be more efficient to contact GM?
We offer you a 120 day contract. GM will sell your surplus machinery and equipment for you, at fair market value. GM does the footwork for you. Often, even in this day and age, very happy connections are made by old-fashioned word of mouth. GM salespeople do not charge you for their services; they earn small commissions on the sales they make. The sales they make are completed quickly and efficiently. When you're trying to have idle equipment removed from your overhead costs, the most efficient way to achieve that is to contact GM. He does the work for you.
Appraisals
When you've made the decision to sell used equipment, you know what you originally paid for it, but depreciation and other factors will affect its current resale value. You need to know that value. You want to get fair market value for your surplus equipment, whether you're considering selling just one machine or an entire manufacturing plant full of different kinds of machinery.
Greasy Machines is in regular contact with people who are certified by the ASA (American Society of Appraisers) who will be happy to talk to you, examine your equipment, and give you a written appraisal you can work with. ASA appraisers are prepared to handle a wide range of machinery and appraise them for different purposes. Market or liquidation value appraisals can be done for sale or acquisition, as well as many other purposes. Getting a good appraisal is key to the efficient sale of your surplus machinery.
Condition Reports
In addition to having an ASA-certified appraisal, you will want to have the condition of your machinery examined and rated on condition. A mechanic with specific experience with the kind of machinery you have will inspect your equipment and document its condition carefully, taking buying and selling perspectives into account.

Financing
