Precision split/narrow laser beams, multi-laser velocity gauges are used to accurately measure full form and lengths to shoulder. It uses 3D data from multiple laser beams to detect defects that may only be on one side of the part such as dents. In addition to dimensional inspection capabilities, SD Vision has four off-axis cameras that simultaneously image parts in color as they are illuminated with Gi’s unique lighting techniques. This provides 360o surface defect detection for defects such as stains, cracks, presence of annealing, and other visual defects. User-friendly software is designed to allow operators to quickly set up, dimension and tolerance each feature. Once programmed, information is stored by part number. With instant retrieval of parts’ setup, the Gi-360T ensures the quickest return on investment. The Gi-360T inspects 360 degrees to ensure every part meets print tolerances, is free from damage, and optionally free from metallurgical inconsistencies–to guarantee zero defects.
