(1) APEX Tool Works Plastisol Liner Machine, Model RCS-8, Rotary Compound Pouring Machine.

• A single, high speed, (8)-station rotary plastisol liner expandable to speeds up to approximately 800 lids/minute. As delivered, the liner will feature tooling for (4)-stations and will be capable of producing 400 lids/minute. Machine will feature separate speed controls for the main turret and individual spindles, allowing the user to adjust plastisol film weight and placement.
• Machine will feature (8)-plastisol nozzles, each individually adjustable for plastisol placement location.
• Machine includes infeed and exit feed delivery system.
• Machine is supplied with a separate control panel which can be integrated with existing production line controls.
• Machine will be wired for 480VAC, (3)-phase, 60Hz operation.
• Machine will be tooled for the current 209 diameter lid. (If future dimension changes are required, the machine can be tooled to accept lids from 1-3/16” diameter to 4-11/16” diameter. Such changes are outside the scope of the current Equipment Supply Agreement.)
• One set of Operation and Maintenance manuals will be supplied.
• The infeed turret transfers caps to rotating magnetic chucks in the pouring head. Vacuum chucks are used for non-ferrous caps. Chuck rotation is proportional to machine speed and easily changed to suit the application. The pouring nozzles can be individually adjusted to pour into the center of the cap, annularly, or onto the sidewall. Nozzles are available in a series of orifice sizes to provide a range of compound flows. The duration of pour is controlled by 2 cams that set all stations simultaneously. The compound continually circulates through nozzles to maintain temperature and viscosity.

(1) AJAX Thermal Curing Oven

• A single, natural gas-fired, slider bed style curing oven, capable of maintaining curing temperatures of up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Oven will feature a Maxon burner system with a minimum output rating of 1.5MM BTU/Hr.
• Oven design and construction will conform to current NFPA, IRI, OSHA, and NEC standards, where applicable, as interpreted at time of order.
• In addition to the curing zone, the unit will provide a secondary cooling zone whereby forced ambient air is used to cool the part prior to packaging.
• Thermal curing oven includes the following: mild steel slider bed conveyor with belt, mild steel heated curing zone, and mild steel cooling zone.
• Machine will feature a variable speed belt for product handling.
• Machine is supplied with a separate control panel which can be integrated with existing production line controls.
• Machine will be wired for 480VAC, (3)-phase, 60Hz operation.
• One set of Operation and Maintenance manuals will be supplied.
• Dimensions – (approximate) 35’ L x 8’ W x 15’ H (includes oven zone, cooling zone, and slider bed conveyor infeed and exitfeed).
• This system was in production approximately 18 months. It can be used for a number canned products in the Candy, Tobacco industries, etc
